How are Castle Fragrances candles made?
While our roots lie in Stockholm, where we braved the long, cold, and dark winters like true Viking warriors, we decided to relocate our story to southern Spain, where sunshine and warmth reign supreme.
The beautiful craftsmanship of Castle Fragrances candles is meticulously handcrafted in our Marbella studio in Spain.
With unparalleled attention to detail, each candle undergoes a carefully curated process to ensure the highest quality of our product.
Beginning with the selection of artisan candle vessels, crafted from either elegant glass or timeless metal tins, the creation of our candles is an amazing journey. We delicately fasten each wick by hand, ensuring precise centering within the vessel. Slowly and meticulously, fine fragrance oils designed by fragrance houses in Switzerland and France are added to warmed wax, creating a harmonious blend that will fill your space with captivating scents.
To preserve the integrity of the premium fragrance oils, the wax is poured at a cool temperature into individual vessels. As the candles rest at room temperature, the wax gradually cools and solidifies. Once hardened, the wicks are trimmed to optimize the initial burn.
To reach their full aromatic potential, the candles are left to cure for several weeks, allowing the fragrances to fully develop. Every step of the process is dedicated to excellence, ensuring that each candle possesses an optimal aroma when ignited.
As the journey nears its conclusion, labels are added to each candle vessel by hand and undergoes an inspection, followed by polishing, and finally, they are packaged in eco-friendly presentation boxes.
Our products are lovingly made in small batches, avoiding the methods of mass production.
What are upcycled ingredients?
Upcycled ingredients are the leftovers/treasures which are collected from different manufacturing processes that would otherwise go to waste. In fragrance world such as unsold jasmine flowers, used tangerine peels, wood chips go through an extraction process to produce new fragrance or essential oils.
Upcycling gives waste a new lease on life.

What is the minimum order for resellers?
For your initial purchase, a minimum order value of €500 is necessary, while there are no minimum quantity requirements per product. You have the flexibility of assembling products of your preference, combining various products within a single order.
Do you offer personalized branding on your products?
We are sorry, but at this moment we are unable to offer white label service.

Please note that the estimated burning times provided are for reference purposes only and on the correct use of the candle and can vary depending on various factors. Factors such as air drafts, ambient temperature, and other environmental conditions can affect the total burning time of the candle.
How to enjoy my Castle Fragrances candle optimally?

My candle doesn’t burn evenly, what can I do?
If you're experiencing uneven burning with your candle, here are a few steps you can take to address the issue:
Avoid air drafts: Ensure that the candle is not exposed to any air drafts. Air drafts can disrupt the flame and cause uneven burning, even excessive smoke.
Allow sufficient burn time: It's important to give the candle enough time to achieve a full melt pool, where the entire surface of the wax becomes liquid. Depending on the size of the candle, this may take anywhere from 2-3 hours.
Check and adjust wick position: After burning, when the wax is solidifying but still soft, examine the position of the wicks. Sometimes, slight movements can occur during burning, leading to uneven burning patterns. Gently adjust the wicks to ensure they are centered and upright to promote balanced burning.
Use an even surface: Verify that the candle is placed on a stable and even surface. Uneven surfaces can disrupt the candle's balance and result in uneven burning.
How should I clean the candle vessels and remove the wicks?
To clean the candle glass or tins of a finished candle and remove any leftover wax and wick, follow these simple steps:
- Allow the wax to cool: Ensure that the candle has completely cooled down and the wax has solidified before attempting to clean your vessel. This will prevent any risk of burns or accidents.
- Remove the remaining wax and the wick: Fill the vessel with hot water. Let it soak for a few minutes to loosen any remaining wax or residue. Dispose of the waxy residue in an appropriate manner. Gently loosen the wick with non-abrasive tool such as wooden stick.
- Clean the glass: Wash with warm water and a mild dish soap using a soft sponge or cloth to gently scrub the inside of the glass/tin, removing any remaining wax and dirt. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry the glass: After cleaning, dry the glass container with a soft, lint-free cloth or let it air dry completely.
Your candle glass or tin vessel is now ready to be re-purposed.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Can I change my order?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your order after you place it.
Can I receive a reimbursement if the item(s) was damaged during shipping?
When you receive your order, please inspect all products carefully with the delivery personnel to ensure they are in good condition and free from any damage during transit. If you notice significant damage to the products, DO NOT ACCEPT the delivery. Immediately return the box to the delivery personnel.
If damage is found after opening and it's due to handling by the postal service or carrier, please contact them to file a claim.
If any issues with the post office or carrier remain unsolved, please email us with details of your delivery, what's damaged and a photo if possible.
We request that all damages are reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Your satisfaction and the quality of our products are of utmost importance to us.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is calculated at check out based on the destination and weight of the items. We offer free shipping on orders over €150. Applies to only private individuals.
Where do you ship to and what are the delivery times?
Our online store ships to most European countries:
Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
All orders placed on our website before noon from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) will be processed within 24 hours.
We work with DHL Express and normal delivery time is 1-2 days.
I am having problems with my order delivery, what shall I do?
If your delivery is encountering issues, please reach out to us immediately at info@castlefragrances.com and will make every effort to ensure your package reaches you as soon as possible.
Do you offer local delivery service?
Local delivery service is available to customers in Marbella within 25km radius. Delivery charge of €8 applies for orders under 150€. Please contact us to confirm delivery time and date.
